About Us

We are a small, family-based business centered on our favorite style of travel, road tripping! Our founder homeschooled her children so she could take them on the road. All our staff share a love of road trips, though we are unique in what inspires us to pull over and explore.

Byways and Sidings is delighted to be able to partner with photographer, Jonathan Christiansen. Jonathan -- who is always inspired by trains -- finds that sometimes autism is his superpower. The same inability to filter all the details of his environment that caused overstimulation meltdowns when he was a child now manifests as an incredible eye for detail in all his photos!
